The park is only open for 8 weeks from mid-March until mid-May. Flower exhibitions, including roses, orchids and lilies, take place in the two enclosed pavilions. Keukenhof can be reached by special buses that leave from Leiden, Haarlem and Schiphol train stations. |
KINDERDIJK Kinderdijk | The Kinderdijk windmills are designated a world heritage landmark by the United Nations (UNESCO). The 19 mills were built in the early 1700's to drain water from the land east of Rotterdam. Entry into the park is free. There is a fee to visit the museum located inside one of the windmills. |
