The Netherlands top 10 films 2025 included franchise sequels, live remakes of animated movies, a film version of a successful Broadway musical and a 2024 release that earned the majority of its box office revenue in 2025. Only one film would be considered completely ‘original’ and it barely made the list at number ten.
There were a total of 22 different films which topped the weekly box office ranking over the 52 weeks of 2025. Nine of them held the #1 position for just one week (Captain America: Brave New World, Snow White, A Working Man, A Minecraft Movie, The Accountant 2, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, Bugonia and Wicked: For Good). Four films held the top spot for a month or longer… Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy (4 weeks), Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (4 weeks), Mufasa: The Lion King (6 weeks) and Jurassic World: Rebirth (7 weeks).

The Netherlands top 10 films 2025 earned significantly less ($79.0 million) than the top 10 films of 2024 ($91.1 million), which itself was a big decrease compared to what the top 10 films of 2023 earned ($114.6 million).
